Maniva: Excellence in the Mineral Water Industry
Since 1998, Acqua Maniva has established itself in the mineral water market thanks to its sources in Bagolino (BS) and Arezzo. With an annual production of approximately 170 million bottles, 60% of which is destined for Horeca and wholesalers, the company is a benchmark in the industry. Maniva not only bottles water in various PET and glass formats, but has also introduced the innovative “Smile Box,” featuring plant-based materials, including caps, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability.
Expansion and Innovation: Collaboration with BBM Service
Thanks to its extensive distribution, Maniva has continued to innovate by developing new packaging formats. In 2024, it partnered with BBM Service to acquire a new Smipack BP packer. This machine is designed to overwrap 500 ml packs in 3×2 configurations into convenient units of 4 packages, totaling 24 bottles.
Layout Optimization and Implementation
BBM Service’s technical team designed a layout to optimize existing spaces without disrupting the production line’s flow. The new packer retrieves packs from the existing bundler, wraps them, and directs them to the in-line palletizer. In just five days, BBM Service installed and commissioned the packer, including all used-refurbished conveyors for infeed and outfeed.
Sustainability and Benefits: Choice of Refurbished Conveyors
Opting for used and refurbished conveyors offers numerous benefits. Besides significantly reducing initial costs, Maniva has actively contributed to environmental sustainability by minimizing ecological impact and promoting a circular economy. This approach not only ensured a rapid return on investment but also increased equipment reliability and reduced installation and startup times. As a result, Maniva has been able to continue operating efficiently and seamlessly.
