Oil Bottling Depalletizer: A Success Story
Oleificio Zucchi represents a historical excellence in the field of oil refining for food use. Founded in the 1810s in the Lodi area as a family-run artisanal business, the company has grown to open its Cremona plant. This plant has a production capacity of 1,500,000 liters/day thanks to nine highly automated lines. Oleificio Zucchi is known for distributing olive and seed oils in the retail sector, the Ho.Re.Ca. channel, and the food processing industry.
Client Need and BBM Solution
Already a long-time customer of BBM, Oleificio Zucchi needed to enhance their glass bottling line by replacing a depalletizer. BBM was contacted to provide a depalletizer capable of handling around twenty formats of glass bottles, both round and square, in various capacities. After careful evaluation, we proposed a refurbished BERCHI Genius D/S depalletizer, capable of processing 15,000 bottles per hour on 1200×800 mm pallets. The machine was refurbished at our facilities and updated with the latest safety devices.
Installation and Timing
After the initial contacts in September and order confirmation on November 28th, we started the installation at the end of May. In two weeks, we removed the old depalletizer, disposed of it properly, and installed the new BERCHI Genius D/S. The new system also included empty bottle conveyors, an orienter for rectangular formats, and a pad elevator to bring the product to height.
